Bringing goods from Turkey to North Cyprus: who does what, and for whom

There is no single best option — there are four different jobs. Getting one cheap item across and getting a container across are not the same task, and the right company for one is the wrong address for the other. Below we compare the players by name, using quotes from their own published terms.

We wrote this page and we are in the table ourselves — our row is marked. We have also written down the cases where we are not the right answer; for a single low-value item, we are not.

Categories first

Four different kinds of operator serve this route

Most comparisons mislead because they put unlike things in one table. Separate the types first and the choice becomes obvious.

TYPE 1

Digital intermediary

You send a product link; the company either buys it for you or receives your parcel at its Turkish warehouse and forwards it. Bummbe, Getir Kıbrıs and Yollando sit here. What separates them is one thing: who carries the customs work.

TYPE 2

Traditional freight forwarder

Ro-ro operators out of Mersin and Taşucu that also handle clearance: Şah, Erdemeller, RSL, Direk, Arınak and others on the Taşucu line. Strong on household goods, vehicles and commercial freight; they work on quotations.

TYPE 3

Local e-commerce

Sellers established on the island, such as Bi-Sipariş. They are not intermediaries — the stock is already here. If what you want is in their catalogue, that is the fastest route and no import question arises.

TYPE 4

The informal channel

Asking someone travelling to Turkey, Facebook groups, suitcase runs. This is still the most common method on the island and it looks free. Its real cost is time, favours owed and risk: if the item goes missing, there is nobody to hold responsible.

Comparison

The players, their published fees, and who carries customs

Everything below is taken from each company's own published pages and was checked in October 2026. Prices and scope change; confirm with the company before you order.

Purchase + consolidation + customs on both sides + island delivery From 100 USD service fee We do Several items, valuable goods, business sourcing, anything needing paperwork

The column that matters is not price — it is "who carries customs". The gap between 40 TL and 100 USD is not a price difference but a scope difference. Comparing the two figures without counting the duty you pay yourself, and the days you spend doing it, will mislead you.

October 2026 note

Bummbe has announced it is stopping parcel forwarding

The best-known digital intermediary on this route published a statement that explains, in a competitor's own words, why this work is hard.

The wording on their own site reads: "Masraflı ve yorucu gümrük işlemleri nedeniyle gelen şikayetler sonucunda, bu hizmetimize devam etmeme kararı almış bulunmaktayız" — we have decided to discontinue this service following complaints caused by costly and exhausting customs procedures. The same page directs users to their buy-for-me service instead.

The lesson is not about one company; it is about the work itself. Moving a parcel is easy. Moving it through customs is not. A model that keeps the fee low by leaving clearance to the customer produces complaints, because the customer ends up alone with the declaration, the paperwork and a parcel that is not moving.

Accuracy note: we took this quote from the company's own page and dated it. The service may have changed since. We review this page every three months; confirm the current position with the company before you decide.

Choosing

Which address is right for your situation

We are not pointing everyone at ourselves. In the first two cases below we are the wrong choice, and we would rather say so now than after you have written to us.

[1]One inexpensive item

For a single item worth a few hundred lira, our fee costs more than the goods. Parcel forwarding, a seller who already stocks it on the island, or a friend flying over makes more sense. Do not come to us.

[2]A house move or a vehicle

A full household or a car is a freight forwarder's trade; they own the ro-ro line and the equipment. We do run vehicle imports, but on bulky moves get a forwarder's quote before deciding.

[3]Several items, valuable goods, paperwork

This is where we belong. Items from different sellers, goods whose invoice and warranty matter, and shipments whose declaration has to be right. The fee spreads across the order and the arithmetic starts to work.

[4]Business sourcing

Hotels, construction, restaurants and shops need supplier research, comparable quotes and repeat shipments. No digital intermediary offers that, and forwarders do not buy on your behalf. Business sourcing exists for exactly that gap.

Questions

What people ask when comparing

C-01

Which one is cheapest?

On the published figure, parcel forwarding is cheapest: Bummbe lists 40 TL per parcel. But that is the forwarding fee alone. Import duty, declaration work and entry costs are not included and stay with you.

On total cost, the answer depends on basket size. For one small item, forwarding wins. For several items or valuable goods, having a professional carry the clearance usually ends up cheaper — because a wrong declaration, a parcel held at the border and a cost paid twice are the expensive lines.

C-02

Someone does it for 40 TL. Why do you start at 100 USD?

Because it is not the same job. The 40 TL buys the handover of your parcel to a courier from a warehouse in Turkey. Our fee covers buying on your behalf, consolidating items from different sellers, export clearance in Turkey and import clearance in North Cyprus, the paperwork, and delivery on the island.

If you are bringing in one cheap item, you do not need that scope, and we will tell you so. Once several items travel together the fee spreads across the order and the comparison changes.

C-03

Everyone says customs is handled. Where is the real difference?

In written liability. On some sites the home page says duties are included while the terms or FAQ state that any duty arising under North Cyprus customs law is ultimately the customer's responsibility. Both cannot be true at once.

A practical test: ask for the quote in writing and ask one question — "if the duty comes out higher than expected, who pays the difference?" Where that cannot be answered in writing, the risk is yours. We pass duties and official charges through at cost, add nothing on top, and show them as a separate line in an itemised quote.

C-04

Is this page impartial? You are rating your own competitors.

It is not impartial and we are not hiding that: this is our site, our row is in the table, and it is marked. What we offer is not neutrality but verifiability — every figure and quote comes from the companies' own published pages, is dated, and is linked at the foot of this page.

We have also written down the cases where we are the wrong choice. You can judge a comparison by whether its author was willing to write the line that costs them business.

C-05

Do Trendyol, Hepsiburada or n11 not deliver here directly?

No. Their address forms have no North Cyprus option; the delivery address must be inside Turkey. The reason is the route, not the shop: North Cyprus is a separate customs territory. The detail is on our how it works page.

Writing "Mersin 10, Turkey" does not change that either — it is a postal routing marker, not a customs regime. How to write it correctly is set out separately.

C-06

How often is this updated?

We review it every three months, and when a company changes its service or pricing we correct it within a week. The "Last checked" date at the top of the page is always the date of a real check.

If you see something missing or wrong here — particularly about your own company — write to us with the source and we will correct it.

Before you order

  • Our minimum service fee is 100 USD. The fee varies with product type, number of items and volume, but it does not go below that figure. For a single small order, do the sums first — combine several items into one shipment and the fee spreads across the whole order.
  • Invoices are issued in the name of Get2Cyprus. If you place the order yourself, enter our company details in the invoice fields at checkout; we send you those details when we reply to your request. Most sellers will not change an invoice after the order is placed, so enter them from the start. When we do the buying, this is handled for you.

Not sure which route fits your case? Send the product links; if the right answer is not us, we will say so.
